LAMBDA BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Happy 2025! This Winter/Spring season marks a special milestone—35 incredible years of Lambda Basketball!

 

Our upcoming season will feature 8 weeks of regular games, followed by 2 weeks of thrilling playoffs. Spots are limited, and the league fills up quickly. Your spot is guaranteed once you sign up and pay in full, so don’t wait!

 

Some League Highlights:

 

Open to All Skill Levels:

• Choose between Competitive Division (for highly skilled, experienced, and intermediate players) or Recreational Division (ideal for beginners or those looking to play for fun).

• Teams are skill-balanced, with Recreational Division teams drafted fantasy-style by captains, while Competitive teams register as a group.

Team Structure:

• 6-8 teams per division, with 7-10 players per team (based on sign-ups).

• Substitutions allowed—please review the Player Sub rules for details.

Season Details:

• 8 weeks of regular-season games + 2 weeks of playoffs (all teams make the first playoff round).

• Schedule may vary depending on sign-ups.

Game Times:

• February & March: Sundays, 3:00–8:00 PM

• April & May: Sundays, 12:00–5:00 PM

• Venue: West Hollywood Recreation Center

League Jersey:

• A $50 reversible jersey is required and available to order during registration

• We reuse the same reversible jersey each season

Registration Fees:

• $100 Early Bird Registration (by January 5th), Discount Code: earlybird

• $125 Discounted Rate (January 6–12th), Discount Code: community

• $150 Standard Rate (January 13–19th), Discount Code: connection

• $175 Last Call Registration Rate (January 20th-26th), Discount Code: culture

• $200 Late Registration (after January 26th)

(League Reversible Jersey sold separately for $50)

Player Ratings for Recreational Division:

• New players must attend at least one open gym in January to be rated. Unrated players will not be included in the draft.

• Ratings help approve substitutes to avoid forfeits.

Location:

• West Hollywood Aquatic and Recreation Center (8750 El Tovar Pl., West Hollywood, CA 90069).

• Validated parking is $6 for 2 hours, or find free parking on San Vicente south of Melrose.

Extras:

• Full stats tracked via NerdBall.

• League champions receive custom t-shirts, and awards will be voted on by the league.
